New water-based paints from Unimec: environmentally friendly custom products
Special products have always been a “feather in our cap”: the ability of manufacturing customized products for our customers has been one of the keys to our success.
Our winning strategy includes a great deal of attention to the wellness of our employees and a close eye on the environment: these fundamental factors are always kept in the utmost consideration.
We are proud to announce that effective May 1, 2017 all of our products will be finished with our brand new water-based paint and will definitively replace all solvent-based paints while maintaining excellent adhesive properties.
Such an important improvement will be centered on a brand new, state of the art painting line (featuring a degreasing cabin, a pressurized painting area and a 300-unit capacity drying oven); the use of water-based paint eliminates the use of solvents resulting in:
- lower pollution from the drying oven
- much lower production of waste and byproducts
- significant reduction of chemical exposure for our employees
Our standard paint finish will continue to be RAL5015 - sky blue, but many additional exciting colors will also be available:
- RAL9002 - white (flat white also available)
- RAL9005 - black (flat black also available)
- RAL 9001 - cream
- RAL1021 - cadmium yellow
- RAL2003 - pastel orange
- RAL3000 - flame red
- RAL3014 - antique pink
- RAL 4005 - blue lilac
- RAL 5010 - gentian blue
- RAL 5012 - light blue
- RAL 6005 - moss green
- RAL 6018 - yellow green
- RAL 6029 - mint green
- RAL 7031 - blue grey
- RAL 8017 - chocolate brown
- EPOXY RAL 5015 – sky blue
Other epoxy colors will also be available as well as special paint finishes for marine, aerospace and automotive applications.
