A special bevel gearbox thanks to Unimec Hispania!

We have often highlighted that one of the Unimec's point of strength, beyond the quality of its production, is the Technical Department qualification (highly specialized and in constant training) which allows our Staff to find cutting-edge solutions suitable for every requirement, from the simplest projects to the most hard-working ones.

This time the merit goes to Unimec Hispania which had been able to meet the needs of an important customer in the steel industry for the design of a bevel gearbox realized ad-hoc. Unimec Hispania, whose growth keeps on going as proved by the recent investment to increase its warehouse, has been very important for the physical and cultural proximity with the customer, a player in the Spanish market but internationally well-known.

The customer addressed to our Spanish office starting a collaboration with our Technical Department which, studying the specific needs of the commission at issue (in which a product that could sustain very high radial loads was required), realized a bevel gearbox with a casing made of electro-welded carbon steel S235J0, 45° edges, over-size special bearings, special hollow shaft and special hub.

“It has been an interesting challenge” explains Josep Maria Farràs, CEO of Unimec Hispania, “when the customer presented us the project, and we studied together the requirements, we understood that we had to realize a special product with excellent technical features. Unimec's Technical Department really matched up with the expectation finding an ad-hoc solution for the client, a custom-made special bevel gearbox”.

Also in this case, Unimec's technical support has been vital for the success of the project: a great result not only for the Spanish office but also for the Unimec's company spirit whose efforts to maintain its technicians always trained are rewarded with customers' satisfaction and with the creation of one of a kind projects.
