At Unimec we have recently implemented a state-of-the-art testing center for our Bevel Gear Reducers.
From the MetalMadrid Trade Show in Spain to the “2018 European Branch” convention: fall at Unimec is full of marketing and training events
There will be plenty of trade shows, international events and training sessions this fall with Unimec.
Summit to 21 nations: here are the numbers of #UnimecDays, a historical meeting in our Usmate Velate!
Innovation and education without boundaries thanks to the professionalism of Unimec Innovation and training are at the center of our daily commitment to customers and the market since the foundation of Unimec, in 1981.
On the one hand, these innovations were the reason and the other the opportunity to meet, last 30 and 31 January this year, our partners from 21 different countries. From the United States of America to the Far East, naturally passing through our Europe (with the presence of the branches of Spain, France and Germany), for two days our historic headquarters in Usmate Velate saw people coming from the same roof from every side of the world. During the two-days, our colleagues visited the three Unimec warehouses, covering an area of 20,000 square meters, and seeing closely how the entire production cycle of our manufacturing company developed.
The participants had the opportunity to see grinding work for worm screws, lathes, spinning machines and gear-cutting machines, latest-generation machine tools and the spray booth where we use only non-toxic water-based paint. A special focus was then dedicated to the Unimec 3.0 catalog and to the new website, which offers particularly useful functions to the designer such as the dimensioner, the estimate, a search engine for products by matriculation number and a reserved area where it is possible download all technical drawings in any format.
On www.unimec.eu there is also a new configurator able to identify - based on a few significant data - which Unimec product is the most suitable for the development of an industrial project, identifying it among 80 billion possible combinations. All online, 24/7 and in a few clicks. These are all innovations that are accompanied by the important work already started several years ago to digitize our factory more and more, placing ourselves at the top of the manufacturing update process known as "Industry 4.0" and launching ourselves towards what the future of a industry 5.0. The opportunity - historical - meeting was also translated into a convivial moment, in which our general manager, Alessandro Maggioni, was able to reiterate the founding values of a company like ours.
2018 is winding down: if, on one hand, we are already leaning towards the New Year and all of the exciting projects awaiting us, on the other hand we always keep in mind that our future is directly linked to our history and the many steps that led us to become the company that we are today. For this reason, before saying goodbye to 2018, we would like to catch this opportunity to run a recap of the most important events of the year:
The Motek 2018 trade show ( https://www.motek-messe.de/en/), Europe’s leading event in the fields of production and assembly automation and material handling, will take place in Stuttgart on October 8-11.
2018 Branch Convention: the event took place in our Global Headquarters, north of Milan, Italy on Oct 22-23; during this 2-day training class, our European Branches along with some of their local distributors attended a technical-sales training session tutored by the Unimec Engineering team.
All attendees were able to download a special app (available for iOS and Android) specifically developed for the occasion: thanks to this new tool, everyone had an opportunity to keep all relevant information handy (locations, attendees, agenda, etc.) as well the option to share live pictures, videos and discussions within the community.
Additionally, thanks to the “Instant Poll” function, our guests had the opportunity to participate in live Question & Answer sessions; the use of the app made this training class much more interactive, direct and engaging for all of the enthusiastic participants.
However, the 2018 Branch Convention was much more than simple training: we had the pleasure of taking our guests through an extensive guided tour of the Unimec Headquarters, including our production layout; later we headed towards Milan downtown and visited the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele where we ended the evening at the iconic and world famous Ristorante Campari.
This was the second international event of the year (the first event took place in January and - thanks to the professionalism of the attendees and the vast experience of our tutors - was also a success).
The key people in our branches along with their best local distributors went home with a much more in-depth awareness of the complex processes that lay behind all of the Unimec products: our entire manufacturing cycle is 100% “made in Unimec” resulting in superb quality, extreme flexibility and keen ability to understand the needs of our customers.
This 2-day training class was also an opportunity to become more familiar with all of our innovative online tools specifically designed to streamline the configuration and quoting processes and improve our service for all of our customers.
Based on the extremely positive feedback, it is clear that these events are the right path to keep growing with our closest partners in Italy and the rest of the world: needless to say, we are already planning the next event and will keep you posted!
The BIEMH (Bienal Española de la Máquina-Herramienta) trade show in Bilbao will celebrate its 30th edition this year: all of the main players in the industry will convene at this milestone event and Unimec could not miss the opportunity to shine.
