Unimec and the news for 2013: production, partnerships and training

The year we just left behind has been undoubtedly very important for Unimec which proved itself to be leader in its sector also out of Italy thanks to the several exhibitions all around Europe and turning out to be a well-advanced company with innovations such as the app for iPad and iPhone and also the corporate video.

Another sign which is unquestionably positive is that the company closed the 2012 with the same sales volume of 2011: in an economically difficult period like the one we are going through, the possibility to guarantee such stability is an unmistakable proof of the solidity of a company which does its best day after day.

2013 has just begun but, in its pipeline, Unimec has already lots of projects and news on different fronts, but let's go in order:

• before summer we are going to carry out some interesting projects which require the realization of about ten heavy XXL screw jacks for special applications in the steel and aeronautic sectors;
• we invested for the purchase of a new machinery: it's a Leistritz, the best in the machine tools sector for spindles manufacturing. This tool will allow us to increase considerably our production and, also important, it will give us the possibility to satisfy specific request in terms of time and special pitches;
• the Leistritz wasn't our only investment: in fact, Unimec has decided to expand itself even more buying the productive plant next to the current one that will be operative soon. Moreover, also the headquarter of Unimec Hispania expanded notably.

In the matter of the commercial prospects, we plan to improve remarkably the customer care by reducing the delivery time. If, before, the delivery time for standard goods was four working weeks, now we can deliver in just three weeks with a quick urgency management.

With regard to the retailers, the 2012 began with new partnerships with Switzerland, Turkey and Korea, while this year Unimec already made contact with some European and Asian retailers which will allow us to establish ourselves in those markets we haven't reached yet.

Finally, we often underlined how one of the Unimec's point of strength is the continuous technical training both for its own staff and for external technicians too: also this year, the company is teaching monthly seminaries at customers' offices but also at its own headquarter.

Unimec wants to focus the attention on the fact that, beyond being the synonym of quality screw jacks, the company also excels in the production of bevel gearboxes, speed modulation gearboxes and Aleph series: the purpose of these training courses is to analyze some technical aspects related to these products.
