Unimec develops another special Screw Jack for an important Italian multinational in the metalworking industry

Unimec successfully completed the development of a custom Screw Jack for a global leader in the metalworking industry: this special product, designed and equipped with unique options and features, is the latest addition to their world-class machinery fleet.

The special Screw Jack comes with a completely custom Rigid Protection equipped with three proximity switches; this was specifically designed to guarantee total protection from dust, dirt and debris and maximize the functionality and longevity of both the internal trapezoidal spindle and the proximity switches.

Thanks to this custom solution, the trapezoidal spindle is completely covered and always protected from the elements; the integrated proximity switches allow accurate stroke monitoring and control.

Another distinctive feature of this Screw Jack is the presence of integrated Lateral Pins, allowing the unit to work in an oscillating pattern; this configuration offers greater levels of functional flexibility and facilitates the positioning of the unit and the operability in tight envelopes or complex installation conditions.

The unit is also equipped with a special gearbox, specifically designed for tight spaces; this custom-solution was developed to maximize real estate and allow the unit to be employed in a wide range of critical space applications and environments.

Finally, the unit is capable of supporting a massive motor, dictated by the application requirements.
