Unimec proprietary high-performance lubricants: let’s explore them together!

Mark CA, Atir SH 150 and Nova 125 are the new lubricants by Unimec, developed in cooperation with Perma and Total, for mechanical screw jacks, bevel gearboxes and other power transmissions.

In February 2016 we mentioned an important innovation from Unimec: the automatic lubrication device for our screw-jacks specifically developed to improve the efficiency and lifetime of our products.

At the same time we also announced the upcoming launch of a brand new, proprietary line of high-performance lubricants formulated to further enhance the technical specs of our screw-jacks and bevel gear reducers; after one year of extensive research, we introduced our line of revolutionary lubricants at the recent ATX West trade show in Anaheim, CA.

Unimec partnered with world-class companies such as Total and Perma: the synergistic teamwork of the R&D and the Engineering Departments created unique, industry-changing products with unprecedented levels of performance and reliability.

Let’s take a look at the main technical aspects of the new Unimec lubricants:

Unimec Mark CA

is a complex calcium-sulfonate, semi-fluid grease, specifically developed for both the internal gears and the external trapezoidal screws of our screw-jacks. Unimec Mark CA offers high thermal stability and is enriched with extreme pressure PE additives: the high adhesive properties and the exceptional resistance to water make it the ideal solution for both enclosed and open-face gear lubrication.

Unimec Mark CA is perfectly safe for operators, does not pose damaging threats for the environment, it is nonflammable and is not subject to any transportation or shipping restrictions.

Unimec Atir SH 150

is a Polyalphaolefin-based oil, ideal for the lubrication of enclosed high-speed rotating gears and bearings. Due to the high anti micro-pitting properties (category HIGH in the GFT classification) and the EP (Extreme Pressure) molecule additives, Atir SH 150 presents high shear stability, superior oxidation resistance and offers a significantly longer lifetime compared to a typical lubricant on the market.

Unimec Atir SH 150 does not affect gaskets, seals and yellow alloys; it is perfectly safe for operators, does not pose damaging threats for the environment, it is nonflammable and is not subject to any transportation or shipping restrictions.

Unimec NOVA 125

is the Automatic Lubrication Management System that we recently talked about. The NOVA 125 features our Unimec Mark CA semi-fluid grease and is based on a controlled gas-expansion system. The automatic lubrication device can be used directly (direct mounting on the unit) or remotely (frame, chassis or other remote location within max 1 mt. distance) as illustrated in the product technical literature.

Specifically developed to excel with our materials, Unimec lubricants offer up to 4X longer lifetime compared to traditional lubricants on the market.

The NOVA 125 offers the additional advantage of dispensing a precise amount of lubricant, at the ideal dispensing pressure, in programmable time intervals, greatly reducing time-consuming maintenance inefficiencies and allowing correct and consistent lubrication even in hard-to-reach parts of the machine.

UNIMEC products are known for their legendary reliability in the most challenging applications and critical environment; with the implementation of a dedicated line of special lubricants, UNIMEC sets the new standard for the industry and raises the bar for the followers. Click here to download the technical literature and find out more on the landing page.
