Unimec has been expanding its offering for years, developing a wider and more comprehensive package of solutions.

The mechanical industry is getting more and more demanding: today, Customers are more aware and educated than ever and select their partners with scrupulous and meticulous attention. In such a competitive arena suppliers must learn to “walk the extra mile”.

In the last few years the market has clearly evolved in favor of the “one-stop supplier”, a more sophisticated vendor capable of offering comprehensive solutions and complete packages: in fact, being able to rely on fewer yet more knowledgeable suppliers translates to significant savings in terms of time, money and general efficiency.

Unimec is well aware of this trend and has been expanding its offering for years, developing a wider and more comprehensive package of solutions and, most importantly, investing in the co-engineering of each application from the initial embryonic stages to final completion.

Besides the brand new Automated Lubrication Management System with proprietary lubricant specifically formulated to improve the performance and overall lifetime of our screw jacks, there are many other important innovations and patents that have recently expanded our standard production line which includes:

• Trapezoidal Mechanical Screw-Jacks, available with translating or rotating screw;
• Precision Ball Screw Jacks;
• Stainless Steel Mechanical Screw-Jacks;
• High Performance Polymer Screw jacks (ideal for Food and Pharmaceutical applications);
• Precision Bevel Gear Reducers (also motorized);
• Stainless Steel Bevel Gear Reducers;
• Mechanical Speed Modulators;
• Couplings, integrated-coupling transmission shafts (corporate partnership with R+W);
• Motors (including special motors, stainless steel, IP rated, Nema, etc.).

Amongst the most recent innovations Unimec has also developed new patents such as an Integrated Proximity-Switch Support that can be installed directly on the screw jack and a completely Self-Aligning Nut, capable of absorbing severe chassis misalignments and compensating errors in less-than-perfect welded structures.

All of these innovations are the direct result of major investments in the R&D Department and are becoming an increasingly relevant strategy at Unimec. To quote Tomas Teruzzi, Chief Technical Officer at Unimec Headquarters: “Simply offering an excellent solution is no longer enough, we also need to provide practical tools to simplify the use and maintenance of our products”.
