Lo sanno anche i bambini

UNIMEC wins 1st Place Award for “Corporate Storytelling” at the “Parola d’impresa” contest: an achievement obtained by the family.

Innovation, Growth and Great Stories: a great story of work ethics and dedication.

Innovation, Growth and Great Stories; since the very early stages Unimec has always made it a point to tell the whole world about its Values and Passions, particularly those in which the company excels: striving for excellence and state-of the-art mechanics.

The love and passion for the job flows deep in the blood of the Maggionis, a family of entrepreneurs that is now at their second, actually third, generation: it all started with Luigi, the Founder and current President of Unimec, and continues now with his son Alessandro, COO of the Company and with… Elisabetta, age 7.

It was Elisabetta (actually a drawing she made that later became the main theme of Unimec’s “Even kids know” campaign that recently appeared in various magazines and publications) who led the Company to obtain such an important award: 1st Place in the Printed Paper category, for “Corporate Storytelling” in the “Parola d’Impresa” contest.

This nationwide contest – organized by Confindustria with the support of the financial newspaper “il Sole 24 Ore” – is targeted towards the importance of advertisement and communication as a tool for business growth: many companies participated in the event and Unimec was very excited to learn that it qualified for the finals and was invited to attend the awards ceremony at the Palazzo Italia auditorium hosted by the recent EXPO global event in Milan.

Elisabetta, Alessandro Maggioni’s 7 years old daughter and creator of the drawing, was present at the ceremony; when UNIMEC’s 1st Place was announced, the public offered a very touching standing ovation, applauding for several minutes.

Elisabetta’s presence at the ceremony is not only recognition of her creativity but also an emblematic testament of Unimec’s Values: a global company with solid family roots. Alessandro was touched and very emotional: “I am really proud of the goal that we achieved together” - he said - “but cannot describe the emotions I feel when I see my young daughter getting so passionate about our job”.

Elisabetta’s intuition was natural, one of those that only kids can have but, at the same time, it was also a “stroke of genius”: one day she made a drawing for her father in which – in her mind – mechanical screw-jacks could lift anything… even dinosaurs. Her drawing was the original inspiration for Unimec’s campaign and the idea behind the slogan “Solleviamo di tutto, lo sanno anche I bambini” (“Even kids know that we can lift anything”).

This was Unimec’s first participation in the “Parola d’Impresa” contest: needless to say, the company will compete again next year, with another great story of work ethics and dedication.
