High Cycle Duty

Duty cycle is the ratio of the time a load or circuit is on to the time the load or circuit is off. Duty cycle, sometimes referred to as duty factor, is expressed as a percentage of the on time. The more a circuit, machine, or component is used, the sooner it will wear out. Therefore, the higher the duty cycle, the shorter the useful life, all other things being equal.
