Melted Metal
Molten metal is one of the most commonly used ferrous materials: it usually contains more than 2% carbon and more than 1% silicon, as well as phosphorus, manganese and sulfur. One of the distinguishing characteristics of this type of metal is that the carbon is generally found in the form of graphite, taking on irregular shapes that are known as flakes.
To produce this material, natural minerals with a high iron content are used, which are passed through a metallurgical process.
