Shock

The possibility of impacts occurring during normal operation is harmful to mechanical transmissions. In case the impacts are of minor entity and are discharged on robust components such as the crankcase, they have no effect; if, on the other hand, they increased in intensity or hit exposed gears or moving parts, the probability of damaging the transmission would greatly increase. For this reason it is necessary to adequately protect the aforementioned weak points.
